ISEAL is excited to announce that Accounting for Nature has been approved as an ISEAL Community Member. We look forward to working with them to improve their certification system to empower a nature-positive future.
Accounting for Nature is dedicated to providing independent, science-based environmental accounting standards that support positive nature impacts.
Accounting for Nature's standards provide a framework to measure the state of nature, empowering landholders, investors and governments to make informed decisions that value and restore nature.
By advancing these standards, Accounting for Nature enables stakeholders to support and invest in a nature-positive future to value nature.
Further to approval from the ISEAL Board on 9 October 2024, ISEAL’s Executive Director, Karin Kreider, commented: “I am delighted to welcome Accounting for Nature as an ISEAL Community Member.
“Protecting the natural environment is vital for both people and the planet’s future wellbeing. I look forward to working with Accounting for Nature and seeing them bring their insights and experiences to our growing membership.”
Dr Adrian Ward, Chief Executive Officer at Accounting for Nature, said: “Joining ISEAL as a Community Member aligns with our mission to provide robust, credible environmental accounts that empower organisations worldwide to measure, protect, and enhance natural assets.
“We are thrilled to work alongside other innovative sustainability systems in the ISEAL community to further our contribution to measurable impact on nature.”
Our membership
ISEAL Community Members are sustainability systems and accreditation bodies dedicated to delivering benefits for people and planet. They are committed to continually improving their systems and impacts through learning and innovation; collaborating with stakeholders and peers; and are transparent and truthful about how their systems work and how they measure their impacts.
In becoming an ISEAL Community Member, Accounting for Nature joins a growing number of well-respected sustainability systems that are driving positive social and environmental change across multiple sectors.
