We will discuss the evolving claims context and resulting updates that have been made to the guide, since the original was published in 2015. The guide sets out good practices for sustainability claims related to sustainability systems. It aims to improve the credibility of these claims, leading to increased trust and greater uptake of sustainable practices.

This guide builds off the claims-related criteria in the ISEAL Code of Good Practice for Sustainability Systems and highlights the strategic decisions and actions that a scheme owner needs to make regarding development and implementation of its claims system.
