Project overview
This project focuses on developing an innovative method of analysing certified areas to rapidly identify and confirm areas at high sustainability risk, such as areas at risk of deforestation. Building on the learnings from a previous Innovations Fund project, the innovative approach tested will combine satellite data, change detection technologies and verification on the ground supported by drones. As well as project partners, the team will work with DROFO Tech on drone operations, and Mundialis on change detection.
This innovative approach will result in effective performance monitoring and regular updates at scale. This will help to focus the groundwork on certified areas that are most at sustainability risk.
