Small-scale producer organisations face growing pressure to meet data-driven traceability requirements under regulations like the European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). Without compliance, they risk exclusion from key markets, while bearing the rising costs and time demands of data collection, often with limited support.
This project aims to support smallholders, Small Producer Organisations, and small businesses by creating a simple, scalable traceability system that prioritizes producer data ownership. The project completes the work being done by Small Producer Organisations at first mile, ensuring that the traceability is not lost along the supply chain. The traceability system will streamline compliance with EUDR, reduce duplication, and empower producers through better access to and control over their data. By aligning traceability processes with regulatory demands and engaging key supply chain players, the project seeks to strengthen the role of small producers in sustainable and ethical supply chains, fostering long-term economic stability.
